An island created by volcanoes

Ischia (/ˈɪskiə/ ISK-ee-ə) is a volcanic island in the Tyrrhenian Sea. It lies at the northern end of the Gulf of Naples, about 30 km (19 mi) from Naples. It is the largest of the Phlegrean Islands. Roughly trapezoidal in shape, it measures approximately 10 km (6 mi) east to west and 7 km (4 mi) north to south

Getting there

Fly to: Naples

There are regular flights into Naples from most airports. Flights from London are currently available with Avios.

Ferry Boat to: Ischia

Taxis from the airport take about 20 minutes and ferries leave more or less every hour.

The last ferry into Ischia leaves Naples at 20:20 in the evening so be sure to leave enough time - we’d suggest leave 2 hours from your arrival time to catch the ferry. There are plenty of great pizza restaurants in Naples near the port if you prefer to arrive early and take your time.

The Ferries take 50 / 75 mins depending which ferry you take. There is generally one stop at an island called Procida on the way

Taxis will be at the port to take you to wherever you have booked as accommodation. See section below on where to stay.

ITINERARY

For those of you who are making the trip, we want you to have the trip of a lifetime.

Whilst the wedding will be taking place on 16th, we will be on the island from 8th July and will be there until 23rd so would love to be with you all for as long as possible.

We will be organising day trips, hikes, boat trips, lunches and dinners for the week before so whoever is there… please get involved!

There is one road to get around the island and you can get from one end of the island to the other in 30 mins. This means that you can stay anywhere on the island and not be too far from anything.

Everywhere is special but here are a few options we recommend and if you need any further advice on where to book, let us know.

GETTING AROUND

Getting around Ischia is very easy.

You will find little tuctuc taxis darting around the island and we will make taxi numbers available to everyone for pre-ordered cars

If you want to take the reins, we are organising rates for Mini Mokes and Vespas - please let us know in advance if you want this arranged and we will take care of it.
